Sometimes essential, it prevents reflux of water to an air pump which, without a damper, can be damaged or destroyed.

If your air pump can not be placed above the water level, consider protecting it from water that could get into it in the event of a power failure!

Simply insert this valve between the pump and the diffusers (1 flap per 4 mm pipe).
