Drum filter Inazuma Katan GT50

The Inazuma GT50 drum filter from the KATAN range filters your pond thoroughly, reliably and fully automatically. This model is suitable for operating a Koi pool of 50 m³ max (or swimming of 80 m3 max).

The performance of large drum filters are now available for Koi pond filtration. The installation, the complicated connection, it's over. From now on, the ponds can be equipped with a SIMPLE automatic filtration which constantly works with the characteristics of the large drum filters.

The GT50 model allows the mechanical cleaning of water with very high filtration fineness. When cleaning the water from the drum, particles larger than 50 microns are pushed aside and sent to the sewer!

Optional UVC disinfection is also effective in combating algae.

The massive construction of V4A stainless steel (1.4571) makes the Inazuma GT50 a reliable machine for many years to come.

The GT50 model can be used in both gravity mode and pumping mode (see diagrams below).
The GT30, GT 50 and GT 80 models do not have a biological chamber: you can either recover your bio filter if you already have one, otherwise a biological chamber is available as an option.

The removable cover allows easy access to the filter, the V4A stainless steel body ensures long lasting quality.

All filters in the Katan series come with a simple and ingenious controller featuring a Clever V8 microprocessor: you plug in the plug and you're done.

Configuration or adjustment is not necessary, the rinses are performed automatically.
The filter is also equipped with a manual rinse.

The guaranteed spare parts supply directly from the manufacturer ensures long-lasting peace of mind with a robust, low-maintenance filter. And with the quality "Made in Germany".
The 2 year warranty is included, the Clever controller and of course the high pressure pump.

What are the difference from the Septem series ?

The Katan series does not have a WebCSA connected controller: its regulation is simplified and nevertheless allows automatic operation.

This Katan series does not have gas struts on the cover: but the cover is light and removable.

The waste discharge chute can be rinsed manually: the Septem series too, but automatically.

Either ... but the rest, the frame, the pump, the motor, the drum are of equivalent quality!

For those who don't know how this filter works

The filter consists mainly of a tank in which is housed a rotating drum: this drum is coated with a 50 micron (0.05 mm) filter membrane on its periphery.

The dirty water from the basin is directed into the interior of the drum and, to leave this filter, the water must pass through the filter membrane.

The water in the basin, which is free of particles, comes out of the filter and is directed to the external biological part.

As the dirty water passes through the drum, the particles settle, blocking the small holes in the membrane which gradually clogs.

The passage of water is slowed down, causing a difference in level between downstream and upstream of the sieve.

At this time, the detection system starts a drum cleaning cycle. From this moment, the drum turns very slowly and the nozzles placed on the upper part (outer side of the drum) project water jets on the filter membrane: under the pressure of the water, the smallest dirt is expelled from the filter membrane.

This dirt is collected in a gutter and directed to the sewer. The upstream / downstream water level is restored until the next cycle.

This cleaning is minimalist: it only occurs when necessary.
