This device provides ozone disinfection which is produced by a special UVC lamp: the system allows optimum water quality by combining the two techniques (UV and Ozone) simultaneously.

Operation

Air is sucked in through the reactor head, oxygen is converted to ozone by UV irradiation. This production of ozone is made between a quartz tube and the UV lamp. The ozone is then sent upstream of the water circuit either by Venturi or by booster pump depending on the model of the device.

Ozone mixed with water oxidizes pathogens, algae and other substances that color water ...

Purified and crystalline, the water passes in front of the UV lamp and the residual ozone is transformed into oxygen.

The same UV lamp, on the one hand, makes it possible to produce ozone and, on the other hand, to sterilize the water by destroying residual ozone. There is therefore no risk of transporting ozone to the pond. Does not modify the pH value, destroys 99.9% of pathogens (drinking water standards).

Thanks to UV lamps specially produced for Aquaticscience, the air is irradiated with ultraviolet light with a wavelength of 185 nm.

Oxygen from the air is converted to ozone by this ultraviolet irradiation.

Ozone leads to the oxidation of pathogens in water (bacteria, viruses and algae) and toxic substances in solution (such as nitrites, cyanides, pesticides, chloramines, hydrosulphides and other odorous substances, Humic substances, pharmaceuticals).

This air / ozone mixture is injected into the water via a Venturi system.

The mixture is then irradiated again with ultraviolet light (254 nm) in the Uvozone reaction chamber.

In the latter, 2 reactions take place:

Ozone in solution in water is converted into OH radicals - via which the relative redox potential is increased from 1.52 (ozone value) to 2.05 (OH - radical value). The remaining ozone remains destroyed. The OH radicals have the greatest oxidation power and can eliminate a wide variety of persistent substances.

Highly efficient destruction (up to 99.9%) of germs and pathogens.

Application areas

Using the combined effect of ozone oxidation and ultraviolet light disinfection in a single system, Uvozone guarantees a highly efficient and environmentally friendly water treatment at an extremely low cost. Thus, the fields of application of UVOZONE are very varied.

Potable water.

The guarantee to kill 99.9% of microorganisms.
The destruction of 99.9% of micro-organisms is necessary for the production of drinking water.
Aquatic Science has an ultraviolet monitor that measures ultraviolet intensity in water and expresses it in percent.
Uvozone is used successfully in the preparation of drinking water in private and public places (hotels, hospitals, boats and trains).

Swimming pools.

The decisive advantage of the Uvozone process for swimming pools is that it destroys monochloramines, dichloramines and trichloramines.

Chloramines appear as a result of the reaction of chlorine with organic substances (such as urine, peeling skin, perspiration or solar oil). They are responsible for red eyes, skin irritation, allergies and unpleasant chlorine odor.

All the effects of chlorine are reduced by the degradation of chloramines promoting the well-being of the bather. The purification of the pool water is completely finalized when the water leaves the UVOZONE system.

In order to maintain a long-term effect, very small quantities of chlorine (0.1 - 0.3 mg per liter) are automatically injected into the pond to prevent the growth of algae in dead zones, corners, etc.

Koi pools, swimming and aquariums.

Even in the case of overburdened ponds, the Uvozone process, in combination with a biological filter, also ensures optimal natural habitat for plants, fish and other aquatic organisms without the use of chemicals.

The Uvozone process reduces exposure to germs, oxidizes a multitude of persistent toxic substances (such as nitrites, humic substances, pesticides). It provides disinfection against many pathogens.
