For those who do not wish to copy, here is the original!

This is probably the most used material in biological filtration!

These mats offer an airy structure that allows a good passage of water while providing a surface of quality for bacterial colonnies.

The main quality of this type of carpet is to offer an interesting bacterial colonization surface of 300 m2 / m3, but especially a colonization stable and fast unmatched.

When the filtration is new, or after a treatment of the basin, the carpet allows the more rapid development of the bacterial biofilm.

These mats are placed in the filter chamber in a vertical position, placed not on the bottom of the chamber but on a grid, and separated from each other by interlayers (formed, for example, with carpet scraps).

In the case of an ultrafine mechanical filtration upstream, it is possible to dispense with interlayers, but this is not indispensable nor even sometimes desirable.

Because of its well-ventilated structure, this carpet does not require any special maintenance: if the mechanical filtration upstream is not effective, the carpets become dirty more quickly ... In this case, they must be rinsed with l Water from the basin alternately.

The Japanese carpets proposed are bacterial supports impossible to circumvent in a biological filter: this quality of manufacture makes it possible to keep them at least ten years.

Not to be confused with ordinary filtration mats that do not take a few years. The structure of these copies is more fragile and these carpets easily disintegrate.

Japanese carpets always measure 3.5 or 3.8 cm.

The carpet is of standard quality.
