How does this filter work?

The filter consists of a tank of 2 biological chambers and a prefilter with grid.

The water is discharged into the pre-filter by a pump from the basin: the outlet of the filter is located above the level of the basin, the water returns to the latter via a pipe whose slope permits its flow.

This filter works only in pumping mode.

The dirty water coming from the pond is directed into the prefilter which comprises a grid: the latter retains the particles whose size is greater than 300 microns.

Being cleared of this waste, the water is then directed to the biological chambers.

These chambers contain supports, the nitrifying bacteria find there surface to develop and participate in the biological purification.

The first includes a moving bed: a bath with mobile biological media. These supports are moved by an injection of air at the bottom of the chamber. The system offers a very good yield thanks to the very large bacterial colonization surface and the well oxygenated medium.

The second organic room has carpet: it is the perfect complement to the moving bed.

This filter requires maintaining the pre-filter grid in an acceptable state of cleanliness, and regularly purging the chambers to empty the sludge.
