How does this filter work?

The water is discharged into the pre-filter by a pump from the basin: the outlet of the filter is located above the level of the basin, the water returns to the latter via a pipe whose slope permits its flow.

This filter works only in pumping mode.

The dirty water coming from the pond is directed into the prefilter which comprises a grid: the latter retains the particles whose size is greater than 300 microns.

Being cleared of this waste, the water is then directed to the biological chambers.

These chambers contain supports, the nitrifying bacteria find there surface to develop and participate in the biological purification.

Two organic rooms have a moving bed: a bath with biological mobile media. These supports are moved by an injection of air at the bottom of the chamber. This system requires no maintenance and is very efficient thanks to the very large bacterial colonization surface.

The other two organic rooms have carpet: it is the perfect complement to the moving bed. These 4 organic rooms alternate wisely moving bed and carpet.

This filter requires maintaining the pre-filter grid in an acceptable state of cleanliness, and regularly purging the chambers to empty the sludge.
