Sometimes essential, it prevents reflux of water to an air pump which, without a damper, can be damaged or destroyed.

If your air pump can not be placed above the water level, consider protecting it from water that could get into it in the event of a power failure!

It suffices to insert a valve whose model proposed here is removable.

PVC flap, diameter is choice: 13, 17 or 21 mm.
